Update: Due to a delay receiving some information from my friends in Europe, the book has been delayed at least 2 more weeks. Currently 32 cities have been completed and a further 10-15 require the confirmation on details I'm waiting on.
Thanks, The Baldman
It's been a couple of months since my last post... I have been taking some time off to prepare a book of all the free places to visit, see and do in Europe.
The book will be released in the next few weeks, the cost and how to purchase will be posted shortly.
It's called The Baldman's Free Travel - 'Europe'
Everything in the book will save you an awesome amount of money; you could save hundreds on a short trip or thousands on a longer trip of 2 months or more. You will be able to use all the money you save for other things on your travels; souvenirs, better accommodation, upgraded or longer rail pass or just travel for longer!
It covers most of the capitol and major cities as well as some smaller towns. There are at least 5 free sites for most cities and up to 20 or more sites for the larger cities. Included are lots tips and tricks to save you money, as well as unusual/weird sites, best climbs/places to view each city, the best street foods and most importantly how to get to each site via local transport-listing the nearest station or stop!
In the forth coming months I will also release a USA/Canada collection of free sites and as well as an Asia/Australia/New Zealand edition. I have all the information and just need to put it all in book format.
So all you'll need is an airfare, a bus or rail pass and not much cash at all... My calculations suggests on a 2 month Europe trip you can reduce your sight-seeing budget from $50 per day ($3000 for 2 months) down to $5 per day ($300 for 2 months). This allows you to visit 1 or 2 paid sites per city during your travels such as the Eiffel Tower and Tower of London and not miss the must see sites. Oh... and the sites in my book are major sites not gimmicky places or pottery centres, parks, gardens or churches. Although some of these are listed, most are museums, galleries and historical places all in central locations that you'll be glad you didn't miss.
Keep watching this space.
Happy Traveling
The Baldman
